UTMAPS NEW PRODUCT INFORMATION
Underwater Technologies (a Supporting Member of NYSOWA) has a series of products, which relate to Niagara and Erie Counties. These fishing maps, which come on CD-ROM show underwater structure in 2-D, 3-D, relief, and full-color views. This allows the angler to view the underwater structure as it really is. Not a two-dimensional contour map, but as a three dimensional structure. Additionally, the images are geo-referenced allowing GPS coordinate to be determined with ease, and a high degree of accuracy.
Following is a brief summary of the products for your area, which can be purchased at www.utmaps.com:
1 Lake Ontario covers the entire lake, both Canadian and American waters. Significant features include the Niagara Bar, shoreline structure, deepwater structure, all the way to the headwaters of The Thousand Islands. This CD is latitude/longitude/depth enabled via cursor position.
2 Lake Erie similar to Lake Ontario, but also includes Lake St. Clair.
3 Buffalo Harbor/Seneca Shoal Geo-referenced for lat/long GPS coordinates.
4 Eastern Basin (NY/PA line) Sturgeon Point 2D map available.
5 Eastern Basin (Sturgeon Point, Peace Bridge, Point Albino) 2D map available.
6 Niagara Bar/Lake Ontario Now geo-referenced for Lat/Long GPS coordinates.
7 Strawberry Island/Niagara River (a Muskie HOTSPOT) now geo-referenced for lat/log GPS coordinates.
8 Special orders are now available see the website for details.
UTMaps has essentially every major lake in New York State. All the newer series will be latitude/longitude/depth enabled, allowing you to evaluate and investigate the underwater structure in the way we see things in our daily lives, in 3-dimensions. No more trying to interpret two-dimensional contour maps. These are true, rendered, 3D imaging of underwater structure. Maybe most importantly, you can now visualize the lake bottom topography the way fish see it.
Keep an eye on the website for an even greater advance. You become the fish and will be able to swim the lake bottom to your feeding areas, another state-of-the-art advance from Underwater Technologies. You will truly be amazed!!!
Most of our maps are so precise and accurate that one-foot contours become visible. In-shore structure anglers this represents a great advance for bass anglers.
As always with UTMaps, all images are fully enabled for printing. The high-resolution file format provides prints that are suitable for framing up to 24 x 30 inches!
Will, lake images can be
provided at your request
and, Thank You

Newer maps, in addition to being geo-referenced, provide the user a
graphical interface, which enables latitude, longitude, and depth at the cursor
position on the map. Thus, GPS
coordinates, and depth data are provided anywhere on the map.
UTMaps remains in the $15-$30
price range.

Underwater Technologies, Inc.
has developed new software, which now renders lake depths and coordinate
systems in a true three-dimensional image format. While the previous software version was very
good in showing lake topography in 3-dimensions, this new rendering truly draws
out the underwater structure in a way that gives the angler a real feel of Lake Bottom conditions. You can actually visualize how fish can relate to the bottom and
plan how they would move to feeding areas!
The images remain in true color, which provides an instant feel for depths and fish locations and movements!
