Bio/Corporate Profile Credentials Underwater Technologies, Inc. is owned and operated by two individuals sharing degrees in: Information Science This range of talents provides us the insight, ability, and capability to take advantage of current and state-of-the-art technology in the mapping community. Company History Underwater Technologies, Inc. was created in 1989 to develop an underwater camera system, dubbed “FishEye”. This system is similar to those products most recently on the market, with one unique exception “FishEye” could “swim” using remote control. We determined the market was not yet ready to absorb the cost of early 1990's technology available at that time. Software and computer technology however was becoming increasingly powerful enough to provide analysis and display of vast quantities of data. As fishermen and scientists, with a keen interest in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), we recognized the opportunity to create unique mapping technology. The advent of GPS enabled exciting opportunities for fishermen and boaters alike. Thus, three-dimensional mapping was born for fishermen of all levels. We are proud to say we are at the forefront of this technology, and continue to create exciting new ways for anyone interested in Lake Depth topography.
